The charming venue takes you back in time, exactly in the stunning medieval town of Castelbuono which is located in the heart of the Madonie National Park. Established in 1997, the Ypsigrock Festival has earned a reputation as one of the most suggestive European boutique festivals. It turned out to be the benchmark for addicted indie-rock lovers. Over the years Ypsigrock has been bringing the best musical artists to Sicily including Moderat, Metronomy, Belle & Sebastian, and so on, together with up and coming international and Italian talent.
Furthermore Ypsigrock welcomed the Italian debuts of Jon Hopkins, Alt-J, SOHN, Django Django, Hinds, Fat White Family, among others. The four stages are located all around the picturesque town . The main stage, the Ypsi Once Stage, is set in a truly breathtaking square, a natural amphitheater shaded by the impressive Castle of Castelbuono. There are other two stages: Piazza San Francesco (inside a eighteenth-century cloister) and Centro Sud (a deconsecrated baroque church ) which gives to the thousand of festivalgoers an exclusive experience.
The Festival is also equipped with a camping that hosts the visitors, the Ypsicamping where the fourth stage is located. It is a spectacular natural area just in the middle of a green wood. Every year Ypsigrock Festival brings in Sicily a wonderful selection of international artists, in a timeless and incredible spot.
There is no better place for people with a steady cultural, natural and musical attitude and there is no better way to discover the unexpected Sicily!
