Ciao ragazzi!
There are occasions that only come along once in a lifetime, so don’t miss this opportunity and visit the exhibition “For Freedom” by Steve McCurry, the most famous photographer in the world of anthropological reportage.
What is “For Freedom” about?
We were lucky enough to be able to visit this critical and revealing exhibition through the photographic narration of 49 images. The aim of this exhibition is to denounce human cruelty and selfishness. These pictures are contemporary and they show the tragic situation how women are suffering from the Taliban in Afghanistan.
This exhibition will be on display at the Palazzo Reale and will remain open until the 17th of July 2022.
Where Can I See the exhibition?
As mentioned above, the exhibition is located in the Palazzo Reale, one of the most visited historical buildings in Palermo. It was the Palace of the kings of Sicily and the Sicilian Parliament in which we highlighted the Palatine Chapel, a unique religious relic in the world.
Our Feelings…
After a long stairway of the palace, we stepped into the “For Freedom” exhibition and we rapidly got deeply touched on the way a single photo can express so much, the eyes of the different women and little girls in the pictures really transmit their sadness. Some of the descriptions in the pictures where stunning because some women literally were thinking about commit suicide.
It is touching on how a single photo can express so much.
