Sicily is a destination full of surprises with a great mix of cultures.
It can be explored in a more active and dynamic way considering all the very interesting projects promoted in the island.
This is why CityXcape cannot be excluded in presenting one of the most interesting projects: “Le vie dei Tesori”, literally translated “The Roads of the Treasures” is one of the largest festivals that aims to discover every city’s heritage, culture and art.
With more than 450 visitable places, you can find antique treasures also promoted via smart and digital systems.
Old Palaces, hidden terraces, churches, gardens and museums of science and local heritage: these are mostly private places that stay generally closed and are not opened to the public.
CityWalks, Activities, Experiences – all elements that CityXcape shares and promotes.
It is a great opportunity for all the visitors to “re-discover” a place from a local perspective.
If you are planning to come to Sicily you must definitely have a visit!
The idea started in 2006, as part of the initiatives of the University of Palermo to promote the cultural heritage of Sicily. In 2012 the Festival only involved places strictly connected to the University, but as the project gradually expanded, it started involving hundreds of places in Palermo (both public and private). Until 2017, where more than 20 towns in Sicily were involved.
